Sree Balaji Kirana

The shop is right here in Vittal Wadi, specifically at 3-5-708 in Narayanguda. It is a small place but we keep a lot of stuff packed inside. Most days start early before the sun is even up properly. We have to move the crates and get the milk bags ready. People come in for small things mostly. Someone wants a packet of salt or maybe some sugar for their morning tea. We know most of the faces around here because they live in the nearby buildings. Sometimes it gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work. The shelves are always a bit messy because things move fast. We try to keep everything in stock, from rice to soap. It is just a regular kirana store, nothing fancy about it. We spend most of the day weighing things out or counting change. The noise from the street is constant but you get used to it after a few years. It's dusty too, especially when the traffic picks up. We have been sitting at this counter for a long time now. My hands are usually covered in flour or some kind of spice dust. It is hard work staying open all day but that is how it goes. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us helping out. We talk to the delivery guys and check the lists. It is a simple life in a busy part of town.
