Sikkim Manipal University S R Nagar

We are located inside Geetham College over in S R Nagar. It’s a pretty well-known area, so most people don’t have much trouble finding us once they get to the main college building. We run the Sikkim Manipal University center from right here. It’s basically just a few rooms where we handle all the distance education stuff. If you need to enroll in a course or if you have questions about your distance learning materials, this is the place you need to come to. We have a small staff working here every day. We aren't doing anything high-tech or flashy, just sitting at our desks and answering the phones or helping people fill out their forms correctly. The hallway can get a bit loud because of the regular college students moving between their classes, but our section stays pretty focused on the university work. We handle a lot of the back-and-forth for the exams and getting the results out to everyone. Sometimes the internet connection is a bit slow, and we have to ask people to wait a bit, which is just how it goes sometimes in an old building. It’s a practical setup. We’ve got some basic chairs for people to sit in while they wait and a few computers for checking the records. Most of the people who come in are working professionals trying to balance their jobs with more study. We know most of them by name after a while.
