Sigma College Of Nursing

You can find us over at the Sigma Hospitals building on SD Road in Secunderabad. Sigma College Of Nursing is pretty much right in the middle of all the hospital action. It stays busy from morning until night because of the patients and staff coming in and out. The students here spend a lot of time in their white uniforms, walking between the classrooms and the hospital wards. It's a practical kind of place. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff on the walls; it’s mostly charts and schedules. Since we are in the heart of Hyderabad, the noise from the road never really stops. You get used to the sound of sirens and horns after a few days. The classrooms are functional and we keep the equipment ready for the students to practice their skills. It’s hard work for the young people here, and you can see them studying in the corners of the corridors during their breaks. We have a small office where we handle the admissions and all the nursing board paperwork. It’s often a bit cluttered with files, but we know where everything is. The staff here are mostly nurses or former medics, so they don't have much time for small talk. We just focus on making sure the students know what they are doing before they head out to work in real wards. It’s a serious environment, but people are friendly in their own way.
