Shree Balaji Store

Shree Balaji Store is right at the Janapriya Utopia Apartment in Attapur. We are in Block 1, Shop No 3-1-5, across from the other Janapriya Apartments. Being inside a residential complex means we are mostly serving the families who live right here. It’s a nice community. We see kids coming in for snacks and parents picking up things they forgot for dinner. It’s a small shop, so we have to be careful about what we stock. We don't have space for everything. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone gets home from work. We try to keep things moving fast so nobody has to wait too long. It is just a basic neighborhood store. We aren't part of some big chain. My cousin and I mostly run the place. We do the cleaning and the stocking ourselves. It is a lot of work but it is good to be your own boss. The apartment residents are like neighbors to us now. We know their names and what they usually buy. We don't have a fancy website or a social media page. We just open the shutters every morning and wait for the first customer. It’s a steady life. We like being a part of the daily routine for the people living in Janapriya Utopia. It’s not a glamorous job but it pays the bills and we enjoy the company of the regulars.
