Showmen Men

Showmen Men is situated at 14-2-509 in the Chandanwadi area of Gosha Mahal. We are actually located right below Frontline High School. During the day, you can hear the kids running around upstairs or the teachers talking, which gives the place a lot of energy. Sometimes the school bell is so loud it startles the customers, but we are used to it by now. The street outside is narrow, which is typical for this part of Hyderabad, so parking a bike can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We have a simple setup with a few barber chairs and a bench for people to wait on. The walls are decorated with some old posters that have started to curl at the edges over the years. We spend most of the day standing on our feet, so the rubber mats on the floor are a lifesaver for us. Men from around the neighborhood stop by, often just to chat for a bit even if they do not need a cut right then. We have a small sink in the back that drips a little if you do not turn the handle all the way. It is not a glamorous spot, but it is where we work every day from morning until late. The air is always a mix of talcum powder and hair spray. We keep the glass doors clean as much as possible, though the dust from the road makes it hard. It is just a local shop.
