Shivji Saibaba Fruits Company

Our fruit company is located at 18-3-654/7 in the Hamam Bowli area. We are near Laldarwaja and the Venkateshwar Mandir in Bandlaguda. Being near the temple means there are always people around, especially on festival days. We deal with all kinds of fruits depending on what is in season. Early in the morning, the crates start arriving and we have to sort through everything. It’s a lot of work before the sun even comes up. The shop is full of the smell of mangoes, bananas, or whatever we have that week. It’s not a sterile supermarket. There are baskets everywhere and sometimes the floor is a bit sticky. That is just the fruit business. We have been in this spot for years and the locals know they can get fresh stuff from us. We don't use any fancy packaging or stickers. We just weigh the fruit and put it in a bag. Sometimes the fruit isn't perfectly shaped or has a small mark, but it tastes good. We have a few regulars who come by every single morning. We talk about the weather or the price of diesel while they pick out their oranges. It’s a busy life and my hands are always stained from something, but it’s a good way to earn a living. We just keep the crates moving and try to make sure nothing goes to waste by the end of the day. It is a long day but we like it.
