Shine Minerals

We've been over here at 501, Amberpet for a while now. Most days it’s just about sorting through what comes in. It gets dusty in the yard, but that’s part of the job when you're dealing with minerals. We don’t really do fancy offices. People usually just drop by if they need something specific for their project. Sometimes it's busy, other times it's quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We keep a log of what’s in stock, though it’s mostly just in our heads or on a clipboard near the door. It isn't a huge operation. We mostly just focus on getting the piles moved and making sure the trucks can get in and out without getting stuck. Usually, I'm the one answering the phone if I'm not out back checking on the inventory. It’s hard work, especially when the weather isn’t cooperating. Amberpet has its busy hours, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. My cousin used to help out more, but now it’s just a small crew of us keeping things going. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the gate and the address. It’s been this way for years. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. Sometimes the machinery acts up, and we spend half the afternoon fixing it, but that's just how it goes here at Shine Minerals. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you need us, you just come to the 501 gate. It’s simple.
