Shia Civil Council For Social Justice

We are the Shia Civil Council For Social Justice. Our place is at 6-1-1062/2 in Khairtabad. It’s right there at Lakdikapul in Hyderabad. This is a very busy part of the city. There’s always traffic and people moving around at all hours. We’ve been here for a long time now. Our office is tucked away in an older building that has a lot of character. We focus on social justice stuff for our community. It’s not always easy and sometimes the problems we see feel too big to solve. But we keep showing up anyway. We have a few desks and a lot of old files from years ago. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We aren't a corporate entity with a lot of rules. We’re just a council of people who care about what happens here. We talk to folks who walk in off the street looking for advice. Lakdikapul is a landmark area so people usually find us without too much trouble. The tea stall downstairs is where we get our morning drinks every day. We know the owner well and he knows how we like our tea. It’s a very human way to live and work. We don't have a fancy mission statement or a polished look. We just do what we can with the time we have. Sometimes we disagree on how to handle things but we always figure it out. It’s just how we operate.
