Shailndera Kirana Store

Shailndera Kirana Store has been part of Jam Bagh for quite a while. You can find us at Shop No 5-1-160, right on Jam Bagh Lane. We sit directly opposite the SBI Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their errands. It is a typical kirana shop. We sell the basic groceries that every house needs. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter, weighing out rice or packing up sugar for the local families. The lane gets pretty crowded, especially during the festivals. It is not a modern store with bright lights and cooling. It is just a room filled with sacks and boxes of goods. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of all the road work going on outside, but we keep things moving. I have lived in Hyderabad my whole life, so I know how these local markets work. We do not have any big advertisements or signs. Word of mouth is how most people find out about our shop. My son helps me out when he is not busy with his own studies. We try to keep our prices fair because we know almost everyone in the community here. It is a lot of work lifting heavy bags and staying on your feet all day, but it is what we do. If the shop looks a bit cluttered, it is only because we just got a fresh shipment of dal in. We are just a normal shop in Jam Bagh trying to do our job every day.
