Seenaiah Juice Shop

We are right in the middle of the action at 117, Barkas Market Road. If you’ve been to Barkas, you know it’s a lively place with a lot of history and a lot of people. Seenaiah Juice Shop is just a small part of that. We’ve got a simple counter and some fruit baskets piled up. Every morning, the market is humming with noise, and that’s when we start our work. We aren't a fancy cafe with a menu you can't read. We just do juice. We spend hours peeling oranges, cutting pineapples, and making sure the ice is ready. It’s messy work, and by the end of the shift, our aprons are usually stained, but that’s fine. We get all kinds of people coming in—traders from the market, families out for a walk, and kids after school. We don't have much in the way of seating, so people just stand around the shop or lean against the wall while they drink. It’s a very local vibe. We don't spend a single rupee on marketing or fancy signs. People know we are here because they can see the fruit and hear the juicer running. It gets pretty loud with the traffic on Chandrayanguttam nearby, but you get used to it. We just keep our heads down and serve one customer at a time. It’s not a complicated business, just a way to make a living in a place we know well.
