Sania Motor Driving School

Running a driving school in Hyderabad is quite an experience because the traffic near the GPO is always a mess. We started Sania Motor Driving School because there were so many people wanting to learn but not enough patient teachers. I usually sit in the passenger seat for most of the day, watching students try to figure out the clutch and brake without stalling in the middle of a busy intersection. It’s stressful sometimes, especially when a bus gets too close, but we’ve gotten used to it. Our office isn't much, just a place to keep the paperwork and keys. We have a couple of cars that have seen better days, but they’re good for learning. You don't want a brand new car when you're just starting out anyway. We spend a lot of time explaining the signs and making sure everyone knows how to park properly. It takes time, and some people learn faster than others. That's just how it is. We’re right there in the 500001 zip code area, so it’s central for most folks coming from work. Sometimes the weather is too hot to be out on the road, but we keep the lessons going. We don't do anything fancy here. Just teaching people how to handle a steering wheel and get their license without too much trouble. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting, but seeing someone finally drive off on their own is okay. We keep some water bottles in the trunk for the students when it gets really humid.
