Sangala Narender Reddy

I spend most of my time at Flat No 303 in the Sri Sai Residency, which is right in Anand Nagar. Being in Khairatabad, the traffic outside is always a constant hum, but up on the third floor, it’s a little quieter. The office is basically just a room with a large desk, a computer that takes a minute to wake up, and a lot of folders stacked on the floor. I use the 6-3-628/12 address for all the official mail, and the postman knows exactly where to bring the envelopes by now. It isn’t a large corporate space, just a practical place to sit and handle the daily tasks. I usually have the window open to get some air, even if the city sounds come in with it. My chair has a bit of a squeak every time I lean back to think. People stop by sometimes, but mostly it’s just me and the phone. There is a small tea stall downstairs where I go when I need a break from looking at the screen. The walls are mostly bare except for a calendar that I sometimes forget to flip. It’s a simple way of working, without any assistants or big teams running around. I keep my own records and make sure the files are where they need to be. It’s a steady pace here in Khairatabad, and I’ve grown quite used to the routine of this neighborhood over the years.
