Sai Datha Kirana & General Store

Sai Datha Kirana & General Store is located in Anjaiah Nagar, which is in the Gachibowli area of Hyderabad. It’s a fast-growing part of the city, but our shop is just a basic neighborhood store. We serve the people living in the 500032 area who need their daily essentials without going to a big mall. We stock things like milk, eggs, bread, and different types of dal. The shelves are mostly wooden and look a bit worn out, but they hold everything together. We spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates and restocking the cold drinks in the fridge. Hyderabad gets very hot, so the fridge is always working overtime. We have many tech workers and local residents coming in. Some are in a huge hurry and want to pay with their phones quickly, while others like to stand and talk for a minute. The shop can get quite crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work. We have to move fast to keep the line moving. It’s a lot of repetitive work, like scanning items and bagging them up, but it pays the bills. We don't have any fancy marketing. People just know we are here in Anjaiah Nagar. We try to keep a bit of everything so no one leaves empty-handed. It’s just a normal, everyday shop where we work hard and hope for a good day. There's always more cleaning to do and more boxes to open.
