Sai Balaji Kirana

Sai Balaji Kirana has been in Vinayaknagar for quite a few years now. We are located at 6-10-106/2 and mostly sell things people need every day like rice, dal, and different types of spices. It is a small place in Bala Nagar, but we try to keep the shelves full so no one has to go too far for their basic cooking items. The street outside can get a bit noisy with all the traffic in Hyderabad, but once you are inside, it’s just a regular shop. We have a lot of plastic jars filled with snacks and candies near the front because kids from the nearby houses stop by after school. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. We don't have a fancy system for anything. We just use a simple notebook to track what we need to order next. Sometimes the stock of onions or potatoes runs out faster than we expect, so we have to call the supplier in the middle of the week. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the bags of grain on the floor, but that is just how kirana stores are. We open early in the morning for the milk delivery and stay open until the dinner time rush is over. It is honest work and we know most of our customers by their faces if not their names. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized as much as possible.
