Saba Cafe & General Store

If you walk down Daru Slam Road in Nampally, you will find Saba Cafe & General Store. We are at 5-5-275/A, quite close to the Ekkminar Maszid. Our place is a bit of a mix because we serve tea and snacks but also sell general store items. It’s a handy combination for the people living in this part of Hyderabad. The 500001 pin code area is always humming with activity. People stop in for a quick chai and then realize they need to pick up some sugar or soap for their home. I usually have the kettle going from early in the morning. The smell of tea and spices fills the air inside. It’s not a big, polished cafe, just a simple spot with a few benches and shelves full of goods. We see a lot of people coming from the Maszid, especially on Fridays. It can get very crowded and noisy, but that’s just how life is here. I do most of the work myself, from making the tea to counting the stock at night. It’s a long day, but I like talking to the regulars who come in. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop door that stays open late. It’s a honest living and we are happy to be a part of the Nampally community.
