S T. Josephs Degree & Pg College

The college sits right on the Basheer Bagh - King Kothi Main Road in Hyderabad. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets. There is always a lot of traffic and noise outside our gates. We have both degree students and those doing their post-grad work here. It is a big mix of people from all over Telangana. The building has been part of the landscape here for a long time. You can see the students standing around the main road during their breaks, usually grabbing a tea or chatting. It is a very urban setting. We don’t have a huge quiet campus like some places outside the city, but being in the heart of Hyderabad has its own feel. Inside, it’s just halls, offices, and classrooms. We try to keep things running smoothly even when the city outside is chaotic. The staff knows the shortcuts around Basheer Bagh and where to find the best lunch spots. It’s a place where people work hard and then deal with the Hyderabad heat on their way home. There isn't much fluff here. We just provide the space for classes and exams. Every year a new batch comes in and the old one leaves, and the cycle just continues on this busy main road. It is just how life goes at a city college like ours. Most of us have been here for years and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over time.
