S N Distance Education College is located on the second floor of a building in Dilsukh Nagar, Hyderabad. If you’ve ever been to Dilsukh Nagar, you know how intense the traffic and the crowds are at any time of the day. Our office is right in the thick of it. Since it’s distance education, we don’t have students sitting in classrooms all day long. Instead, we have people coming in to collect their books, submit their exam forms, or just ask questions about which course they should take. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, and the hallway is often lined with boxes of study materials waiting to be handed out. It’s a busy environment with the phones ringing constantly and people trying to balance their full-time jobs with their studies. We spend a lot of our time sorting through files and checking enrollment numbers. The lights are those long tube lights that flicker sometimes, and there’s always a stack of old newspapers in the corner. It is a practical place for adults who are trying to get ahead. We don’t have a campus life or a canteen; it’s more of a functional hub for learners in Hyderabad. The staff knows most of the regular students by name because they come in once a month to check on things. It’s just a small, working office helping people get their degrees.
