Royal Leathers

You can find us at 5-9-226/6-7 Chirag Ali Lane, over in Abids. The name Royal Leathers might sound a bit grand, but we’re just a bunch of people working with hides and finished goods all day. The smell of leather is everywhere here—it’s the first thing you notice when you walk in. We spend a lot of time cutting, measuring, and checking for marks on the skins. It’s tedious work sometimes, but you get a feel for it after a few years. The shop is a bit tucked away, so you have to look for the sign. We’ve got piles of samples sitting on the counters and scraps of leather on the floor. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where the work gets done. We have a couple of old machines that make a lot of noise, but they still work better than the new ones we tried once. People from all over Abids come in looking for specific things, and we do what we can to help them out. We don’t really do fancy displays. Usually, things are just stacked where they fit. The lights are a bit dim in the back, but we know where everything is. It’s a steady life here on Chirag Ali Lane. We just keep our heads down and focus on the leather, making sure we don't waste any material while we are cutting out different shapes.
