Ramesh General Store

We’ve been sitting here at 3464 RP Road in Secunderabad for quite a long time now. It’s a busy spot in Hyderabad and there is always something going on outside the door. Ramesh started this place and we just keep it running day to day. We sell all the usual things you’d expect from a general store, mostly just daily items people need when they realize they ran out of something at home. The shelves are usually full but sometimes they look a bit messy when we get a big delivery in. It gets hot in the afternoons here, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we wait for the evening rush to start. Most of the people who come in are regulars from around the Sec Bad area. They know where everything is, so they just grab what they need and chat for a minute. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a plain shop with bags of rice, soaps, and snacks stacked up where they fit. Sometimes the traffic on RP Road makes it hard to hear, but you get used to the noise after a few years. We try to keep things simple and just make sure the stock is fresh. It’s not a big operation, just a few of us making sure the neighborhood has a place to pick up their groceries without having to go too far.
