Talluru Jute Creation

We are located over at the Balaji Bvvaa Apartment in Ramanthapur. It is a bit different running a business like this out of an apartment area, but it works for us. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of jute fabric. If you have never worked with jute, it is a bit rough and has a very specific earthy smell that fills up the whole room. We cut the material and stitch it into all sorts of things, mostly bags and little containers. The sewing machines we use are pretty heavy-duty because the fabric is so thick. Sometimes the thread snaps or the needles break, which can be a bit frustrating when we are in the middle of a big batch. We have piles of finished jute items stacked up in the corners, waiting to be sent out. It’s a lot of manual work, sitting at the tables and measuring out the lengths. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a small operation where we focus on what we’re making right in front of us. People from around Ramanthapur know where to find us if they need something made from jute. The apartment stays pretty busy with us moving boxes around and the sound of the machines going. It’s a simple way to spend the day, just working with our hands and making sure the stitching is tight on every bag we finish.
