Ramadurg Abdul Khader

I've been working out of this part of Hyderabad for a long time. The 500001 pin code usually means you're right in the middle of everything. It's busy, it's loud, and there's always something going on. My name is on the door, and I handle most of the things myself. It’s not a big company with many departments. It’s just me and a couple of helpers when things get really packed. We don’t have a big sign or anything fancy like that. People find us because they know where we are or someone told them. The building is one of those old ones in the city. The stairs are narrow and it smells like rain when it pours outside. I start my day early, usually with a coffee from the place around the corner. Most of my day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in. It’s a lot of talking. Sometimes I wonder how the day goes by so fast. We don't do things the modern way with tablets and all that. I still prefer my ledger and a good pen. It feels more real that way. Hyderabad has changed a lot since I started, but this neighborhood still feels the same. The streets are narrow and the traffic is a mess, but it’s where we belong. It’s not perfect, but we make it work every single day without much fuss.
