Raju General Store

Raju General Store sits right on the Main Road in Konapur at number 157. It is a pretty straightforward place. We open up early because that is when people are heading out for work and need small things. Being on the Main Road means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses passing by all day. We have all the usual stuff you would expect to find in a general store like this. It is a bit cramped inside with all the shelves reaching up to the ceiling, but we know where every item is kept. If someone asks for something specific, we can usually find it even if it is under a pile of other things. The counter is a bit worn out from years of people leaning on it while they wait for their change. Konapur isn't a very big place so you see the same faces every single day. We talk about the weather or the road repairs that never seem to finish. It is just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t have fancy lighting or anything, just some tube lights that flicker once in a while. It is a decent enough spot to be. People know they can just walk in and get what they need without any fuss. We just keep going, day after day, keeping the shelves stocked up and the floor swept as best as we can for the folks who come in.
