Raghavendra Kirana

Raghavendra Kirana is located at Plot No 45 in Bupesh Nagar, which is part of the Karmanghat area in Hyderabad. It is a quiet residential neighborhood for the most part, which suits us just fine. Our shop is where the locals come to get their daily supply of rice, dal, and spices. We have large bags of grain sitting on the floor and shelves filled with jars of different sizes. Hyderabad can get really hot, so the afternoons are often slow. That’s when we do most of our inventory work, checking what is running low and making lists for the next market trip. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright neon signs. It’s just a basic store with a wooden counter where we weigh out items. Most of our customers are our neighbors from Bupesh Nagar. We’ve seen their kids grow up and start coming to the shop on their own. It’s a steady kind of life. We wake up, open the shutters, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer of the day. There is a lot of manual labor involved, like carrying heavy sacks and stacking crates, but we are used to it by now. We just want to make sure the people in Karmanghat have a reliable place to get their groceries. We keep our records in a simple ledger and try to keep things as honest and straightforward as possible.
