Prem Narayan Nakkana

Prem Narayan Nakkana is located over in the Hyderabad GPO area, right in the middle of the 500001 postcode. It’s a very central spot, which means it’s also very crowded. We’ve been set up here for quite some time. The office is pretty small and it’s usually packed with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. It’s not the kind of place that looks like a stock photo. It looks like a place where someone actually works. Prem is usually around, managing the daily stuff and talking to whoever drops by. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with scheduled meetings and fancy titles. It’s more about just getting on with it. The neighborhood can be a bit overwhelming with the noise of the traffic and the post office crowds, but you get used to it. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the list of things to do. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we just sit and wait or talk. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We don’t spend money on advertising because we mostly just deal with people we already know or who find us by walking past. It’s a very local way of doing things. We just focus on being here and doing the work as honestly as we can. It’s a bit messy, but it’s real.
