Prashanthi Kirana &General Store

If you live near Attapur, you probably pass by Prashanthi Kirana & General Store quite often. We are right there at the Sai Baba Temple Circle on Upparapally Road. It’s a good location because everyone comes through this way. My brother and I manage the store mostly. We carry the usual things like rice, dal, and different kinds of spices. Hyderabad can get really hot, so the cold drinks sell fast. We keep the fridge running all day. The shop isn't huge, but we make use of every inch of shelf space. Sometimes the boxes are stacked high near the entrance. It's a bit messy sometimes when we are restocking, but we try to keep it organized. People stop by on their way to the temple or while heading home. We don't have a website or anything, just the shop. We’ve been here in this part of town for years. You can find batteries, cleaning supplies, and some snacks too. Sometimes we chat with the neighbors while they wait for their change. It's a simple life running a kirana shop. We open up pretty early and stay open until late evening. If we don’t have something, we try to get it in by the next week. It’s just a regular neighborhood store that handles the basics for the local families.
