Our shop, number 3, is tucked away in Maruthi Nagar within the Dilsukh Nagar area. It is not a very large space, but we manage to fit a lot of groceries inside. Most of what we sell are the basic things people use in their kitchens every day. You will see rice bags stacked up in the back and smaller items like oil and dal near the front counter. Because Hyderabad gets so hot, the fans are usually spinning fast all day long. It is mostly just a few of us here handling the stock and helping whoever walks in. Local people often stop by for their morning milk or when they realize they have run out of sugar. We do not bother with bright lights or big advertisements; a simple counter and some sturdy shelves are enough. Occasionally, delivery drivers find it hard to navigate the lanes, but the neighbors all know exactly where we are. Keeping the place tidy is a challenge when new boxes are arriving, but we try to pull our weight. It is a simple way of life, mostly just chatting with people and making sure we have the brands they like. While Dilsukh Nagar is always in a hurry, things feel a little slower once you step inside our door. We just want to make sure you find your groceries and get back home. There is really nothing more to it than that.
