Prasad Fabrications

Prasad Fabrications is located at house number 8-71 in Malkajgiri, Secunderabad. It’s in the Medchal district. We do all kinds of metal work and welding here. The shop is usually pretty loud with the sound of grinding and hammers hitting metal all day. It’s not a clean job, we always have grease on our hands and soot on our clothes by noon. But it’s good, honest work. We make gates, window grills, and sometimes frames for small sheds. My father started this business and now I’m running it with a couple of guys from the neighborhood who know what they're doing. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. If you need something made of iron or steel, you just walk in and talk to us. We draw it out on a piece of paper or just on the floor sometimes to show what we mean. Malkajgiri has changed a lot over the years, more houses and more people, so there’s always someone needing a repair or a new gate for their house. We don't use the most expensive machines, but we know how to use the ones we have well. Sometimes the heat from the welding is too much in the afternoons, so we take a break and then work late into the evening. We just want to do a solid job so the gates don't sag later.
