I used to be the JGM of Finance at HMT, but after I retired, I didn't want to just sit around doing nothing. So, I started practicing as a chartered accountant from my place in Bakaram. My home office is at Hno 1 3 183 40 46 14 1, Mch 898 on Street No 13. It’s a bit of a long address, but it’s a quiet residential street in Hyderabad 80. I’ve set up a small room with all my equipment and reference books. After years in a big corporate environment like HMT, I actually enjoy the smaller scale of things now. I help out neighbors and local small businesses with their financial issues and tax filings. It’s a very different pace than my old job, but I like it. I don’t have a staff or a secretary. I do everything myself, from answering the phone to filing the papers. People in the area know me as the retired finance guy who knows his way around an audit. The office is just a part of my home, so it feels very personal and relaxed. No one is wearing a suit and tie here. We just sit down, maybe have a cup of tea, and look at the numbers. It’s an honest way to stay involved and help people with the skills I spent my life learning. It’s just a simple, quiet practice for a retired professional.
