If you ever find yourself walking down Urdu Galli in Pathar Gatti, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. We are located at No. 21-2-631. Venkatabalaji Steel Rolling Mills Pvt. Ltd. is right in the middle of a very old and busy part of the city. Pathar Gatti is famous for its narrow lanes and shops that have been there for generations. Our mill is no different. It’s loud, hot, and there is always a lot of heavy lifting going on. We work with steel, rolling it out and getting it ready for whatever it needs to be used for next. It’s hard work, and the guys here are used to the soot and the noise of the machines. The lane outside is usually blocked with carts or people moving goods, so getting trucks in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We’ve learned to manage though. There isn't much space for a big fancy office, so we just have a small corner where we keep the books and take calls. People in Urdu Galli know us well. We’ve been part of this neighborhood's industrial side for a long time. It isn't a clean job, and we don't try to make it look like one. We just focus on the steel and making sure the day's production gets finished. When the sun goes down, the heat from the mill finally starts to fade a bit and we close up for the night.
