You will find A. R. Pharma out at Plot Number 1/ A, in Block 8, Phase 1 of the Apiic industrial area in Pashamylaram. It’s quite a way out from the main city, so the commute can be long, especially if you’re coming from the Hyderabad side. The industrial estate is massive and can feel a bit like a maze if you don't know your way around the different phases. Our spot is in a sturdy building that’s seen a few monsoon seasons. Inside, it’s all about the pharma work. We have the production area and the storage rooms which stay pretty cool. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits. Most of us are in work clothes or lab coats, just making sure the machines are running and the batches are coming out okay. The air in Pashamylaram always smells a bit like dust and industry, which is just part of the job. We have a small canteen area where we take our breaks and try to hide from the sun for thirty minutes. There’s always a truck being loaded or unloaded at the gate. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping an eye on the details. We aren't doing anything fancy, just the regular day-to-day operations that keep a pharma business going in a place like this. Most of us have been working here since the phase first opened up.
