P Arvindh Kirana

P Arvindh Kirana is located in the Talda Basti area of Kavadiguda here in Hyderabad. It’s a typical neighborhood kirana store where we stock the basic food items and household goods that people need daily. Living and working in Kavadiguda, we see the same people every day, and most of them have become more like friends than customers. We sell things like rice, dal, oil, and various spices that are used in local cooking. The shop is tucked away in the basti, so it’s mostly the local residents who come by. It’s not a big place, and sometimes the sacks of grain take up most of the floor space, but that’s just how it goes in a small kirana. We don’t have fancy computers or barcodes; we just know the prices and keep a ledger for the regulars. Hyderabad is a busy city, but in our little corner of Talda Basti, things feel a bit more personal. We open up early and stay till the sun goes down, sometimes a bit later if people are still coming by. It can be tiring standing all day and lifting heavy bags, but it’s how we make our living. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local shop providing the basics to the families living around us. It’s a practical, simple business run by people who live right here.
