Our connection here is tied to a residence in Hyderabad, specifically with the family of G. Satyanarayana. It’s a bit of a unique situation compared to a standard office. We operate out of a regular house, which means the environment is very relaxed and far from the typical university setting. There’s a lot of history here, and the work we do is often personal and focused on specific projects related to the university’s broader reach. We don’t have a fleet of staff or a big lobby. Usually, it’s just a couple of us sitting at a dining table or in a small study area going through documents and correspondence. The neighborhood is quiet, and we like it that way because it lets us get through the mail and the planning without too many interruptions. We’ve been part of this community for a long time, and the neighbors know us more as residents than as university staff. Sometimes the lines get blurred between home life and work life, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working from a private address. We handle things as they come, whether it's answering an inquiry or organizing a small local event. It’s a very grounded way to stay connected to the academic world without being stuck in a classroom or a formal office building all day long.
