You can find us in the Vanasthalipuram Complex, right in the Ganesh Temple Lane here in Hyderabad. It’s a well-known spot in the neighborhood, and you can often hear the temple bells while we’re sitting in the office. We’ve been in this lane for quite some time now. The office isn’t anything fancy, just a desk, some plastic chairs, and a bunch of logbooks to track the students' hours. Most people who come to us are from around Vanasthalipuram or the nearby colonies. We take the cars out every morning, usually starting before the sun gets too hot. Hyderabad summers can be tough, so those early slots are always the first to go. We spend most of our time sitting in the passenger seat, watching the road and making sure the learners don’t get too flustered when a bus passes too close. It’s a lot of patience and repeating the same instructions about the indicators and the rearview mirror. After the lessons, we head back to the complex and deal with the forms and the photos for the driving permits. The lane can get a bit crowded during festival times because of the temple, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s a simple business. We just help people learn the rules of the road so they can get where they need to go. Most of our day is just spent between the car and the small shop office.
