Our place is over at Plot No.122 in Lalitnagar Colony. Vidyanagar is a decent enough area to work in, though the traffic can be a real pain during the rush hour in the mornings and evenings. At Nikon Electronics, we spend the bulk of our time dealing with technical stuff. It’s not all high-tech gadgets and cool gizmos like some people might think. A lot of our day is just checking small components and making sure things are soldered correctly on the boards. The office is tucked away inside the colony, so it’s actually a bit quieter than being right on the main road. We’ve got a small, steady team here. Most of us have been working together for a few years now, so we know exactly how things are supposed to run. There’s no big corporate ladder to climb or anything like that. We just do our daily jobs and go home to our families. Our desks are usually covered in wires, tools, and testing equipment. It probably looks a bit chaotic to anyone walking in from the outside, but we know where every single tool is kept. We don’t really do those fancy meetings with slides and presentations. If there is a problem, we just stand around a workbench and talk it out until it’s finally fixed. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just life.
