Lotus Exports

We’ve been based out of New Malakpet for a while now, sitting right on the second floor above the Vijaya Bank branch. It’s a busy spot, especially with the bank traffic downstairs, but we’ve made the space work for Lotus Exports. Most days are spent handling the paperwork and logistics that come with moving goods around. It isn't always glamorous work, honestly. There is a lot of back-and-forth with suppliers and shipping companies to make sure things get where they need to go. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually get through the stack of invoices on the desk. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a practical setup where we can focus on the day-to-day operations. People often ask how we manage with the address being a bit of a mouthful, but once you find the bank, you’ve basically found us. Being in this part of town helps keep us connected to the local trade scene. We handle a variety of items depending on what's in demand, and we've learned over the years that things rarely go perfectly to plan. You just have to deal with the delays and the customs issues as they come up. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the orders are processed and the containers are loaded. It's regular work, and we’re fine with that.
