Needs Kirana & General Store

You can find Needs Kirana & General Store over in Nampally, specifically on Red Hills Lane. Our shop number is 11-6-625/3, and we are right opposite the Jama Masjid Teen Posh. It’s a very busy part of Hyderabad, so there’s always noise and people moving about outside. I’ve been running this kirana store for years, and it has become a second home to me. We stock all the usual kitchen necessities like different grades of rice, bags of flour, spices, and cooking oils. The lane is quite narrow, and sometimes the delivery rickshaws get stuck, which makes for a bit of a headache in the mornings. I try to keep the shop organized, but with so many small items like matchboxes and packets of seasoning, things sometimes get a bit cluttered on the counter. My nephew helps me out during the busy hours before lunch. We don't have fancy displays or air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that we keep running all day. Most of our customers are locals who stop by on their way back from the mosque or after finishing work. It’s a straightforward business where we know what our neighbors need. I don't really use a computer for the bills, just a pen and a notebook like I've always done. It’s worked for us so far and I don't see any reason to change it now. We just stay open and serve whoever comes in.
