Working at 6-2645/9, A.C. Guards, means we are right in the thick of the Lakdi-Ka-Pool chaos every single day. Our company, Nandi Profiles Pvt. Ltd., has been here for a good while now. The building isn't anything special to look at from the street, just a sturdy place where we can get our work done without being disturbed. We mostly handle industrial profiles, and the floor is always busy with people moving heavy materials around. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stacks of metal and the equipment we use for our daily production. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. Usually, it's just one of us picking up the line while trying to finish something else on the shop floor. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of old computers and some filing cabinets that are always overflowing with invoices. It’s definitely not a place where you’d wear your best clothes because everything ends up with a bit of metal dust on it. We work long hours, especially when there’s a big deadline approaching for a client. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the back door during the monsoon, but we just put a bucket there and keep on going. It’s a very practical and honest environment. We know our neighbors and the guys at the local tea shop quite well. We just stay focused on the daily grind and making sure the production line keeps moving as it should.
