You can find Overseas Exports over on Public Garden Road in Nampally. Our address is 5-8-268/271. It’s a very central location and there’s always something happening outside. Being near the Public Garden means there’s a bit of greenery around, but the road itself is quite busy. We’ve been operating from here for quite a while now. Our work involves a lot of coordinating with shipping agents and making sure everything is lined up for export. It’s a lot of waiting around for other people to do their part sometimes. We have a lot of folders and stacks of paper everywhere. We aren't really into the whole digital office thing completely; we still like having hard copies of our documents. It feels more secure that way. We are just a group of regular people trying to run a business. We don't have any big secrets or special methods. We just follow the procedures and hope the weather doesn't mess up the shipping schedules. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet for hours. We use that quiet time to catch up on filing or just have a snack and a talk. Nampally is a historic part of the city and we like being part of the fabric of this neighborhood. It’s got a lot of character, even with all the noise and the crowds. We see the same people passing by every day.
