Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Limited

Our office is tucked away in the Secretariat building in Hyderabad. You have to go to the D-Block and find the first floor. Room 252-D is where we spend most of our time. It is a busy place with a lot of files and people coming in and out all day. Working on the Musi riverfront is a big task and it keeps us occupied. The river has been part of the city for a long time and we are just trying to handle the work assigned to us. We aren't a private company with a glass building. It's a government office feel, with old desks and fans. Sometimes the elevators are slow so we take the stairs. Most of the staff here grew up in Hyderabad. We remember how things used to be. Every day we look at maps and talk about the water and the banks of the river. It's slow work sometimes, getting all the pieces to fit together. People ask what we do, and mostly it's just planning and coordination. We deal with a lot of different departments. It gets noisy in the Secretariat but that's just how it is. We drink a lot of tea while going over plans. We aren't trying to be flashy. We just want to get the job done so the river area looks a bit more organized. It's a lot of responsibility but we just take it one day at a time.
