Mohsin Fabrication Works

Our shop is right behind the Fever Hospital in Nallakunta. Mohsin Fabrication Works has been at Door No.1-8-860 for years. If you walk down Sriram Nagar, you’ll probably hear the sound of grinders or see the blue light from the welding through the door. It’s a small space, and it gets really hot inside, especially when we’re doing a lot of heavy metal work. I learned the trade from my father when I was just a boy, and now I run things with a couple of helpers. We make all sorts of things—gates, window grills, frames, and whatever else people need for their houses. It’s not a clean job at all. My hands are always stained with iron dust and oil that won't come off. We don't have a big showroom or a catalog. Most of what we make is sitting right there on the floor waiting for the customer to pick it up. Sometimes the delivery truck can't even get through the narrow lane, so we have to carry the finished pieces out by hand. It’s a lot of physical labor and sweat. We use old machines that we’ve repaired a hundred times because they still work just fine for us. People in the neighborhood know us and just stop by to talk about what they need built. We don't do fancy quotes; we usually just write it down on a scrap of paper. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us fed.
