Mohammed Stores

We are located at 48, Main Road, Malakpet, which is basically in the middle of all the chaos of the city. Mohammed Stores has been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the buildings around us change quite a bit. It’s a small shop, so we have to stack things all the way up to the ceiling to fit everything in. If you need a specific type of spice or just a new bucket, we probably have it hidden somewhere in the back. The traffic on Main Road is always heavy, so there's a constant sound of horns while we're trying to talk to customers. My sons help me out after they finish their studies for the day. We don't really have a set routine other than opening the shutters and sweeping the front. Dealing with the change is always a problem, especially in the mornings when everyone has big bills. We just try to be honest and give people what they need for their kitchens. Sometimes it gets really crowded inside, and everyone has to squeeze past each other, but nobody seems to mind too much. Malakpet is a lively place to be, and being right on the road means we see everything that happens in the neighborhood. It’s just us, doing our daily work and trying to keep the shelves full for whoever walks in.
