Metal Ware Industries

Our unit is over at C/8 in the Industrial Estate, which is a place that stays busy from dawn until late at night. There are always trucks moving in and out of the area, and the sound of machinery is just part of the background here. We work with various types of metal, cutting and shaping them into whatever is needed for the orders we get. The warehouse space is large but it feels small because of all the raw materials stacked up in the corners. We’ve got benches where the guys sit to finish the edges of the pieces. It’s hard work and the air usually smells like burnt metal and cooling oil. I spend a lot of my day checking the measurements and making sure the machines are running like they should. If a belt breaks or a motor stops, everything slows down until we can get it moving again. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small space near the front door where we keep the delivery notes and the phone. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait, which is frustrating but that’s how it is. We’ve been at this spot for years and the walls are a bit stained from the fumes, but it works for what we do. It’s a straightforward operation where we focus on the task right in front of us without any distractions from the noise outside.
