Merit Industries

Merit Industries is located at No. 7 I D A Uppal. Being in an industrial development area means there are always tractors and lorries moving past our gate. The building we are in is fairly old but it works for what we need to do every day. We have the machines running for most of the shift and the noise is something you just get used to after a week or two. There is no big sign or anything flashy out front. We just focus on getting the orders filled and making sure the parts are ready for whoever is picking them up. The office part is just a couple of desks shoved into a corner with a lot of old files stacked up. We usually have the big doors open to let some air in since it gets hot with the machinery going. People come by to talk about specs or just to see if their stuff is done yet. Uppal is a crowded part of town, so getting in and out can be a bit of a headache during rush hour. We eat lunch together mostly and then get back to the floor to finish the daily quota. It is a regular job and we have been doing it this way for years. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to log an order. It is practical work and we like the routine of it all.
