Maipal Motor Driving School

We’ve been teaching people how to drive here in Saidabad for quite a while now. Our office is right in Shankeshwar Bazar, directly opposite the Canara Bank. It’s a busy road, which is actually good because if you can learn to drive here, you can drive anywhere in Hyderabad. We use a few different cars, and they aren't brand new, but they are well-maintained and have the extra pedals for the instructor. Most of our students are young people getting their first license or sometimes older folks who never got around to learning. It takes a lot of patience to sit in the passenger seat while someone stalls the engine for the tenth time in a row. We spend most of the day out on the roads, starting in the quieter lanes and moving into the traffic as they get more confident. The office is just a small room where we handle the paperwork and talk about the rules of the road. We try to keep things relaxed because being nervous just makes you a worse driver. Sometimes the traffic in Hyderabad is a nightmare, but that’s just part of the lesson. We’ve seen all kinds of drivers come through our doors, and it’s always a good feeling when someone finally gets their license. We’re just local people helping our neighbors get on the road safely without making a big deal out of it. We usually start our classes early in the morning.
