We are located at the Mahavir Rice Centre on SP Road. If you are in Chelipura, you probably know the area. It’s quite dusty because of all the vehicles passing by. We have different kinds of rice and grains. The bags are heavy, so it’s a bit of a workout moving them around every day. We aren't a big supermarket or anything like that. Just a place where people come to get their monthly supplies. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun. Inside, you’ll find stacks of sacks and the smell of raw grain. It’s loud sometimes because of the traffic outside on the road. We spend a lot of time weighing things out on the scales. Sometimes customers argue about the price, but we just try to keep it fair. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years. New buildings coming up, old ones getting torn down. But we stay right here on SP Road. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan running at full speed. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. Not many frills here, just the items on the shelves and us behind the counter. We usually close up when it gets dark. Most of our day is spent dealing with suppliers and making sure the grain is okay. It’s a basic business for basic needs. We have a small stool in the corner where we sit when things get quiet, but that doesn't happen very often during the harvest months.
