Mahalakshmi Profiles Ltd.

Mahalakshmi Profiles Ltd. is situated at 1-9-8, I.D.A. Azamabad, right on Ramnagar Road. It’s an industrial area, so there is always a lot of activity and the sound of machinery from the neighboring units. Our building is a large warehouse-style space where we handle different types of metal profiles. The main floor is open and usually has quite a bit of material waiting to be moved or loaded onto trucks. We have a small office area partitioned off near the entrance. It has a couple of old desks and a water cooler that always seems to be running low. The walls are mostly bare except for some safety posters and a calendar. We start our days quite early, usually around eight, to get a jump on the heat. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoon, making it pretty warm inside, so we keep the big side doors open for a breeze. We don’t have any fancy reception area or people in suits. Most of us are in work clothes, busy checking the dimensions of the profiles or coordinating with the drivers. There’s a lot of dust that comes in from Ramnagar Road, so we’re always wiping down the desks. It’s a straightforward environment where everyone knows their job and we just get on with it without much talk. It’s a solid way to spend the day.
