Maa Hinglaj General Store

The shop has been sitting here on M.K Temple Street in the Ramkote area for quite a long time. If you live around here in Hyderabad, you probably know where we are. It is just a basic general store where we try to keep the things people actually use every day in their homes. We don't have fancy displays or those bright neon signs you see in the big malls. It is mostly just shelves made of wood and metal filled with bags of rice, different kinds of lentils, and soaps. Every morning starts the same way around here. We get here early to pull up the metal shutters and give the front a quick sweep because the street gets pretty dusty. Then the milk delivery comes, and that is usually when the first few people show up. It is a small space, so when a big shipment of boxes arrives, things can look a bit messy for a few hours until we get everything put away. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their names. It is nice to chat for a minute about the weather or how busy the roads are getting. Sometimes we run out of things, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It is not perfect, but we do what we can to keep the shelves full. We just want to be a place where the neighbors can grab what they need without any fuss.
