M Santosh Kirana & General Store

Our place, M Santosh Kirana & General Store, is located at 4-8-557 in Gowli Guda. If you are looking for us in Hyderabad, we are tucked away right at the back side of Ram Mandir. It is a nice spot because even when the main road is loud, it feels a bit more settled back here. We handle a bit of everything, from grocery items to general things you might need at home suddenly. Sometimes people come in just for a pack of biscuits or some soap, and other times they have a whole list for the month. We keep the doors open from morning until late evening. It gets busy during the temple times since we are so close to Ram Mandir. You get to meet all kinds of people in Gowli Guda. Some have lived here forever and some are just passing through. We do not really have a big fancy setup. The shelves are packed and sometimes it looks a bit crowded, but we know where everything is. Managing a shop like this takes a lot of time. You have to keep checking the bags of rice and making sure the oil packets are okay. We do not use any computers for tracking stuff, just old notebooks and our memory. It works for us. Living and working in this part of Hyderabad has its own rhythm. We just focus on keeping the stock ready for whenever someone walks in the door and needs something.
