You can find us over on Syed Ali Chabutra Road in Aliabad. We’re right across from that big Hero showroom, which makes us easy to spot. Learning to drive in Hyderabad is a bit of a nightmare with all the traffic, but we take the cars out every morning anyway. Our vehicles are older models, nothing fancy, but they do the job. You’ll see us stalling at the lights sometimes when a new student gets nervous with the clutch. I spend most of my day in the passenger seat with my foot near the extra brake pedal. It’s a lot of sitting in the heat and telling people to look in their mirrors. The road outside can get very crowded with rickshaws and bikes, so it’s a good place to practice. We don’t have a big office, just a small desk and some chairs where people sign up. Sometimes we have to wait for the rain to stop before we can head out for a lesson. People come from all over the neighborhood to get their license sorted. It’s a lot of patience and repeating the same instructions over and over. Shift to second, check the signal, don't hit the curb. We keep the paperwork in a drawer and try to stay organized. It’s just honest work helping people get behind the wheel for the first time. We just keep driving until the day is done.
