Lecterur

Our place is in Pothavaram, in the N G Padu Mandal of Prakasam district. The house number is 5-6. It’s a rural area, so things are pretty slow and quiet around here. We work as lecturers, helping out with local educational needs. It’s not a big school or a fancy college. We just use a part of the house to teach. Most people in the village know us. We don't have a sign out front or anything like that. Students just walk up to the door. We have some benches and a small chalkboard. It’s very basic. We teach because there aren't many other options nearby for the kids. We have been doing this for quite some time. The weather can be tough, especially in the summer, but we keep the classes going. It’s a very personal way of teaching. We know all the families. We don't have any corporate goals or mission statements. We just want the students to learn their lessons. It's just how things are done here in the village. Nothing more to it than that. Simple and honest. Sometimes we have to cancel if the rain is too heavy because the roof leaks a little. But we make it up on the weekends when the sun comes out. It’s just us doing what we can for the local students. We've lived here our whole lives and teaching is just what we do.
